Toshiba Unveils Satellite T100 Ultra-Thin Series

Toshiba today announced the Satellite T100 Series ultrathin laptops with Intel’s ultra low voltage processors.

The first two models, the T100 Toshiba Satellite 13.3-inch and 11.6-inch T135-T115. Together with the ULV CPUs, DDR3 memory, the notebook, 250 GB or larger hard drives, up to 9 hours “of battery life with the 6-cell battery, integrated web camera, HDMI outputs, and Windows 7 OS. The T135 and T115 do not have any built-in optical drives.

The 3.88-pound Toshiba Satellite T135 and 3.49-pound satellite-T115 are both on 22 October 2009 available at most major retailers, e-tailers and directly at Toshiba on toshibadirect.com.

Toshiba is jumping on the Culv (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage) train with two new laptops. The Toshiba Satellite T135 has a 13.3-inch machine, while the satellite-T115, one 11.6-inch display, which it firmly in the Acer Aspire 1410,  Dell Inspiron 11z, Samsung X120 territory will.

The 13.3-inch Satellite T135 will come with a choice of three CULV processors: Pentium, Celeron single-core or Celeron Dual-Core. The T115 is only with the single-core Pentium or Celeron option. Both laptops have 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, 3 USB ports, and ships from 22 October with Windows 7.

The larger model comes with up to 4 GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive, weighs about 3.9 kilograms. The T115 is weighing about 3.5 kilograms and comes with up to 3 GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive available.

Toshiba raised IFA first real entry into Blu-ray following the exit of the last year of HD-DVD in accordance with its two first dedicated movie player and a notebook.

The BDX2000 picks with full BD-Live support for movies with internet functions on an Ethernet port and an SD card slot for playing the user’s own content, including H.264 (AVCHD) videos. A flip-down door is less common in the discipline and holds the clear design either mid-film, or if it is not used.

Also on tap for the first Toshiba notebook, the Satellite series is a separate Blu-ray drive. It carries a full Blu-ray burner drive, and is as a desktop replacement with a 18.4-inch display, the 1080p HD movies to show in their native resolution can be treated. Most details are unclear, but it should use a Core 2 Duo processor and as much as 4 GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Some of its technology from Toshiba home theater area, such as the dissolution borrowed engine for DVD + upscaling and HDMI-CEC for controlling shares.

The prices are not yet known, but it is known that the first shipment to Europe in October. A US-conversion were not disclosed, but is close to considered safe.

Toshiba’s new 13.3-inch laptop – the Satellite U500 – is now available.

From 4.74lbs, the configurable Toshiba Satellite U500-ST6321 is equipped with an Intel Pentium or Core 2 Duo processor, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512MB dedicated graphics, up to 500 GB disk space, up to 8 GB DDR2 memory, a DVD burner and a 6 – or 12-cell battery.

The display has a resolution of 1280 800 pixels.

The Windows Vista-powered laptop includes stereo speakers and a microphone, webcam, 802.11n wireless, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, optional Bluetooth, two USB ports and a USB eSATA combo port, an ExpressCard slot, a multi – in-one media card reader and HDMI and VGA outputs.

In terms of design, the Satellite U500-ST6321 Sport Luxe matrix model and two color choices: brown (including LED-backlit keyboard), and pink.

We love nothing more than a budget notebook that does not look or feel like one. The Toshiba Satellite P305D S8900 has an elegant design, a sharp 17-inch display, and a good sound quality. The excessive height of the demo version and short battery life could be a few people, but budget-conscious buyer looking for a multimedia-centric desktop replacement will not be disappointed.

As with other Satellite notebooks, including the A305 and M305D, P305D has the Toshiba Fusion Finish. In a word, it is smooth. Inside and outside, it has a glossy black finish with a gold-striped pattern on. Even the touchpad is fine stripes (albeit in a black-on-black color scheme)
