The netbook will likely sport an Atom processor. However, Chrome netbook is not expected that the masses are distributed. Apparently, the netbook only a limited print run of 65,000 and would be a close cronies of Google. Well, that’s something we are not happy about it. Chrome operating system that is a cloud-based operating system like on Gateway NV59C09U, is also thought to state in beta mode and therefore not very user friendly in its current. New Toshiba NB500 netbook

Yesterday we reported on the Toshiba NB520, a new 10-inch netbook with a dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor and Harmon Kardon stereo speakers. But it looks like the NB520 is not the only new netbook from Toshiba. The Company also has the NB500, which introduced a similar design features, but more wallet-friendly features like on Samsung R540-11.

New Toshiba NB500 netbook

The Toshiba NB500 has the same options as its colorful cover more expensive siblings. But this model has an average netbook speakers who say, you’re likely to want a good headset if you spend a lot of time listening to music, is planned on this mini-notebook. Netbook News reports that the NB500 is also missing the opportunity to phone or other gadget with a USB port charge when the netbook is turned off.

The laptop (which probably extend the battery life a bit) and a slightly less powerful Intel Atom N450 CPU. The rest of the specifications are pretty much par for the course, including a 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11b g WiFi and a 6-cell battery.

I would like to point out that I conflicting reports as to the exact specifications of the NB500 seen. Some sites say it has Harmon Kardon speakers and or a dual-core Atom N550 CPU, while others think it has a N455 CPU. Unfortunately, the press release makes things not quite clear, but I guess we will have more details (and pricing), when the netbook hits the market soon.

Hands on with the Dell Inspiron Duo Convertible Netbook

The Dell Inspiron Duo is expected next week. The duo is one of the most fascinating 10-inch mini-laptops, this year, thanks to a unique design that convert the computer from netbook mode, you can use the screen around and close the lid tablet.

Hands on with the Dell Inspiron Duo Convertible Netbook

But the convertible tablet functionality is only one of the things that the duo makes them different. It can also has a rubberized case, an optional docking station that you use your computer with external speakers, and Dell Media Stage software that launches automatically when you convert from laptop-tablet mode.

The Dell software includes Stage paint music, photos, videos, books, games, and Internet applications like on Alienware AM11x-826CSB. Because Windows 7 standard apps do not tend to them as good low-cost tablet was able to walk (probably due to hardware limitations), it is nice to see that Dell has put some effort into improving the experience.

That is, the folks at Laptop Magazine has a pre-release version of the Dell Inspiron duo for a spin, and the media software looks kinda slow at the moment. It’s worth keeping in mind that this pre-release software and hardware, however, and things can get better on the final version like on oem software download.

New Jolicloud Netbook

Earlier today Jolicloud has announced that they launch their own netbook called Jolicloud. If you are not familiar with the company, here are some context: Jolicloud is a company that is developing an operating system based on Google Chrome “web operating system”. It is basically a Linux that boots on a browser environment (it can dual boot with Windows too). Jolicloud will try by changing the user interface of the original chrome code, and by bundling a package of software that supposedly distinguish the needs of as many as possible to cover …

New Jolicloud Netbook

Graphic design and cool stickers aside, Jolibook just a netbook with a different software environment. Here is an Atom N550 CPU with 250 GB of storage. The problem is that consumers are fairly voted against Linux – the figures show that they want Windows like on Lenovo Thinkpad X100E. So what’s in Jolibook that changes this paradigm shift? Unfortunately, nothing. In addition, the chances that future updates of chrome is a lot of work required to Jolicloud the integration based on it: Think of the Android 2.2 update debacle – Netbook version. It is not clear whether Jolicloud creates its own netbook, because no computer manufacturers (OEMs) will be given a chance, but sure looks like it. Good luck for the Jolicloud team that is a difficult business. We will keep an eye on the situation.

New Samsung NF310 dual core netbook

If you only go to watch a video of something, as taken from a box today, I can suggest in all modesty, make it this one? On paper the Samsung NF310 is a pretty impressive machine. For $ 399 you get a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N550 Dual Core processor and a 10 inch, 1366 x 768 pixels matte display. It has 1 GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11a b g n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. Unfortunately, while some early store listings, the netbook hit NVIDIA would have, it actually ships with integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics like on ViewSonic VX2739WM 27-Inch Monitor. But the specs say only a part of history. The Samsung NF310 has a clear new design, which I guess is a love-it-or-hate-it factor for some people.

New Samsung NF310 dual core netbook

When I first saw the new design in the last month I was sort of underwhelmed. Certainly, the wavy edges look interesting, but they serve no real purpose and just make the laptop a bit wider than it would be different. But I must say, while the curved design looks a bit silly on the Samsung NF210 (a similar mini-laptop with a single-core processor and 1024 x 600 pixel screen), Samsung has really made things a little for the NF310 by classified the laptop a metallic paint job is in fact the keyboard a bit of a MacBook-style patina.

The touchpad also has a very nice texture and feels great under your fingertip. While there are only a touch-pad button, there is a clear mark in the middle and it’s almost like easyto register right and left clicks, as it would have been with two different keys. The speakers are nice and loud, and the high resolution screen is nice and bright. I will be putting the netbook through the ringer over the next few days and I am going to share details about its performance soon have. In the meantime, you can watch my first view video after the break.

Jolicloud launches netbook on its way

Jolicloud founder Tariq Krim has the cat out of the bag – the company is rolling out a netbook that shares the name Jolicloud, where he is running probably on the company Web site’s own Linux operating system.

Very little – was published in fact, no further details about the netbook, which means we have to wait for an official statement regarding the specifications, prices and availability. What we do know is that the user interface in HTML5 Jolicloud is encoded and your settings are stored in the cloud so that you log into your account and optimize your settings from almost any computer such as Acer Aspire TimelineX AS1830T-68U118.

First put our views on this over-elegant machine in January in Las Vegas at CES, and now the Asus NX90 is finally the official release in the UK given. If you’re after a machine that gives you a bit of elegance and stands out from all other laptops available as well as ASUS Eee PC 1015PED-MU17, but not compromise on substance where it is most important, ie, the hardware on board, then the NX90 could be up your street.

New Asus NX90

Starting with the look, because that is what appeals to first when the NX90 is the mirror-like chassis, the result of a collaboration with David Lewis, Bang & Olufsen. Lewis said. “What we are going for a piece of design and art that people could focus its home city and take great pleasure in her appearance for me it is not just a machine, the goal was to create a style that way people regard notebooks “challenge.

The display is a 18.4-inch Full HD LED-backlit, and the speakers are described as “on a par with full surround sound systems, thanks to the two larger than average speakers either side of the screen in the amount of 108cc. Inside the machine, you have the latest components, including a 1.73GHz Intel Core i7 processor 740QM with turbo boost up to 2.93 GHz, 6-12GB of DDR3 memory and Nvidia GeForce graphics of GT 335M 1GB GDDR3 memory.
