The Compaq Presario CQ62-209wm HP is one of the cheapest dual-core 15.6-inch notebooks in the U.S. In addition to the 1366 768 LED-backlit display and AMD Athlon dual-core CPU at 2.1GHz P320, the pre-configured Compaq Presario CQ62-209wm features the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics, 3GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, DVD Burner, 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

This 5.5-pound laptop budget has stereo speakers, integrated microphone, Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN connections, three USB ports and VGA output. However, it is not a web cam, memory card reader and HDMI output. These features are in the HP-G62 339WM with the same core compontents and very similar chassis available as well as Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q896. The Presario CQ62-209wm is Walmart exclusive laptop. It is $ 398.00 at (Walmart) fixed.

Asus is always something when it comes to laptops, and they showed recently the U36. The U36 is an ultra portable job that comes with i3 or i5 Core processor, NVIDIA graphics, Optimus, not to a four-cell battery for ten hours of battery life mentioned.

What happens if you take the Asus UL30, undermine and replace the processor with an Intel CULV Atom chip and NVDIIA Ion graphics? I have no idea, but the folks at Phecda have the next best thing by producing a clone called UL30 done Phecda P13. The notebook has a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and the same case design as the original Asus UL30, although the keyboard looks lke it from an Acer Aspire notebook has been broken.

But while the Asus UL30 with a 1.3 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CPU delivered, the P143 D510 1.66 GHz Intel Atom Dual Core processor like on Compaq Presario CQ62-220US and graphics NVDIIA ION 2. It comes with 2 GB of DDR2 memory and Windows 7 runs.

There are only two (rather large) problems. First, the 2450mAh battery probably will not be a lot of maturity. And second, the laptop is unlikely to show up anywhere outside of China in the foreseeable future.
