If you need to create the ideal thin-and-light notebooks, the recipe would look much like what was used to make the ASUS U45Jc-A1. This 14-inch laptop has the right ingredients, including zippy performance, Nvidia graphics, and a long battery life. We also liked the beautiful design in brushed aluminum so that the U45Jc a tempting bargain alternative to the MacBook. Design

The U45Jc looks a lot like the UL30, a notebook that we loved. Like its 13-inch siblings, it is a silver, brushed-metal lid with a glossy plastic chassis and keypad to match deck. The U45Jc the hard drive copied a 4.97GB file in 3 minutes, or at a rate of 28.3 MB s, while the average notebook of this size completed the same task with a rate of 24.25 Mbps. The ASUS U45Jc-A1 is one of the better thin-and-light notebooks we tested this year, design thanks to its long endurance, strong performance, and send. It is rare that players get to break in the hunt for high-end equipment, a price. A 17.3-inch display with full 1080p resolution? Check. A cutting-edge, HD 5800 series ATI Radeon graphics subsystem? Check again. We would expect a price of well over $ 2,000 for this configuration, so we left scratching our heads, like Asus, it all crammed into a stylish case and only charges $ 1,599 for it.

The G73JH-B1 looks like a Stealth Fighter. It’s a nice looking, unique system with a matte-black finish and a sleek, molded cover. It is definitely not your father’s Dell Inspiron, for sure, and it is certain heads at parties from gaming. The only disadvantage of the form factor is the included AC adapter that weighs more than a pound on its own and is among the largest we have ever seen.

The input devices only, including a black keyboard with backlighting and a huge 4.5-inch diagonal touch pad, are worth the price of admission. The keyboard has large keys with surprisingly a lot of space between them, and it even includes a numeric keypad. Plus, somehow there is room for one of the largest laptop touchpads we have seen on the left. They are keys and the pad both glorious and respond with an innovative cooling system that draws air through the front and blows hot air exhausted from two back, the palm stay in every IT Conference rests cool.

Only the most expensive laptops, such as the Alienware M17x, trump those numbers.

Other performance figures were equally impressive. On our CPU-centric Windows Media Encoder test, the Asus ROG G73JH-B1 came back with an excellent time of 3 minutes and 53 seconds, a leading time in its price class, with the exception of the Gateway NV7915u they beat by 21 seconds. All other systems to beat the score that cost $ 4,000 or more, which proves that the Intel Core i7 720QM processor with 8GB of DDR3 memory is coupled, as impressive as it sounds.
