The Acer Aspire 5735Z is a good mainstream notebook with a 15.6 “16:9 display. It is reasonable build quality, a full keyboard with number pad and decent battery life.

Philippine traders PC Corner has set up a product page for the new 10-inch version of the Acer Aspire One. According to PC Corner, the Netbook is the Acer Aspire 103, and in addition to the larger 10-inch display, will Intel Atom N280 CPU with GN40 chipset instead of the common Intel Atom N270 CPU with the 945GSE chipset.

I have reports on the new name and a new chipset, but I have taken to reporting on it, because I had the impression that the new Intel Atom N280 CPU wouldn ‘t be for a few months, while I expect that the new Acer Aspire One netbooks to take the shelves sometime in February. But either one of these things is not true or PC Corner has the information for their product list from various Internet sources and not from Acer.

The 8.9-inch Acer Aspire One Netbook is one of my favorite netbooks. Unfortunately, the company has decided to increase the production of the 8.9-inch model and replace it with a 10.1-inch Aspire 103.
