Apple wants to cut prices, add features to Air

If there is one thing to hurt Apple, it’s a real weapon in the Netbook arena. Netbook have on the laptop market is very much in the same way the iPhone blew up the cellular world. However, if you’re thinking cheap and on Macs, which Mini’s $ 600 unless you have a laptop and a $ 1,000 MacBook is easily overlooked, though many manufacturers offer Netbook at half price. With all that in mind, the word on the street is that Apple wants to slash the price of the MacBook Air, so it is a feature-rich, high-end netbook contender with a price of between $ 1,300 to $ 1,500. The new features include integrated support for 3G and SSDs in all models of the air. There is also the possibility that we could see GPS built-in as Apple is working on Geolocation in Snow Leopard edition of OS X, but just how much that it is in the air to see.
Our take? Apple has to move away from the idea of a “high-end netbook.” There is a strong, growing market, and the air having a name for himself early on. The replacement air is not likely to be able to back that momentum, unless Apple finds a way to make the sticker price in half.
