Olivetti, once the creator of beautiful typewriters, has been in the film game. The inevitably named Olipad will be sold through TIM, the Italian telecommunications company, from today for € 400 ($ 561). That sounds like a lot, but it is € 100 less than the entry-level iPad, which goes for € 500 ($ 700) here in Europe.

The warning Olipad Olivetti history of beautiful design and instead opts for an ugly plate-like block. Inside the tablet is also inspiring. In fact, you can probably guess the raw specs on exactly the same way we “guess” at the specs of each netbook: Dual Cortex A9 Nvidia processor, HDMI and USB ports like on Toshiba NB505-N508, along with an SD card slot, a ten inch screen and a modified version of Google’s Android OS (no mention of the version). The tablet also works with a number of custom accessories: a dock, a pen and capacitive touch mouse”.
It’s hard to get excited for such an everyday machine. It’s almost like an Android tablet factory somewhere in China that the pumping records and stores in a generic logo, the computer equivalent of getting pens printed with your corporate colors. It is particularly sad that Olivetti was a great brand, now wasted. Why? Because – according to the proud press release – “Olivetti is a 100% subsidiary of Telecom Italia. Sigh.

You’ve probably read a lot about all the netbooks get upgrades Atom N570 processor, so there’s no surprise that netbooks, on the whole, with the rollout Atom N570 processor upgrades. HP’s updated their 110 and Mini 210 netbooks with the new processor than in Japan, so you can expect the same updates soon on the Western markets.

Looking at the price of the HP Mini 110 Atom N550, the same 1GB, 250GB, and Windows 7 Starter – there is about a $ 100 price difference here (vs. 29,800 yen 39,800 yen). Owners of the new MacBook Pro 2011 are reporting that Apple’s record portables conflict with a unique 24-inch Cinema Display have. Both 13 – and 15-inch models, and probably the 17-inch model, producing intermittent flashes, short black-outs and other periodic but significant defects when given to out-of-sale screen. The built-in notebook display is unaffected.

Users have already tried some of the most common tricks like resetting the SMC, but not an initial success. It also applies whether AMD or Intel graphics. Those with the currently available 27-inch Cinema Display is not mentioned the issue, although probably due to Apple tested on the current screen like on HP ZR24w 24-inch Monitor.
Apple has not yet responded to the issue and has not said whether it is a mainstream issue. It should probably be fixed at some point by a firmware update for the Cinema Display, MacBook Pro or both. The cause is not narrowed, but may be related to early teething problems with the Thunderbolt port. Each standard DisplayPort device should behave normally when connected, but the new Intel chip controller and possibly several signals could lead to problems that were not present before.

The Dell Inspiron Duo is a convertible tablet-style netbook with a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom Dual Core processor, 10 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel capacitive touch screen display, and an unusual design that allows you to screen for use in tablet mode without turning relying on a rotating mechanism that feels when it comes to abort at any time. But reviewers are not impressed with all the customized software bundled with Dell touchscreen netbook.

Jolicloud is a Linux-based operating system originally designed for netbooks, so it is optimized to play well with an Intel Atom chip. It is also a relatively light weight operating system that places a strong emphasis on the web browser and web-based apps. The operational support includes some basic touch screen support like on HP ZR24w 24-inch Monitor, but YouTube has some tweaks to member BeYourOwnDroid support for touch in the Google Chrome web browser to enable and add Florence Virtual keyboard for typing on the screen when in tablet mode.

I have long though that offering a great OS, like the Chrome OS of a big company like Google, and then find they had problems with the operation of something as fundamental as the trackpad meant that someone should be fired. Seriously, how can you miss the trackpad is not working properly during testing? Google has offered a new update for the OS, this misery trackpad fixes and adds some neat new features like on HP ZR24w 24-inch Monitor.

The updated OS adds in solutions for 3G modem activation, carrier-link fixes, WiFi connectivity improvements, and the trackpad and the speed are adjusted. The OS has been optimized power system, and much more.
It’s nice to see Google is fixing things for the OS and maybe now that things decent work (I assume) we will see the OS actually get used on some netbooks we can actually buy. The new update brings Chrome to OS 0.10.156.46. That may be the most complicated system of numbering an OS version ever be, I will call it dorky decimal system. Of course, my favorite thing about Google Chrome an OS netbooks was burned.
