Rather, this computer is basically a standard LG X120 Netbook with two things that set it apart from the crowd:

It has Levi’s branding and the drawing of a jeans on the lid.

It comes with a denim-slip-cover, either from recycled jeans, or to see how it is made from recycled jeans.

I like the idea of the slip, and kind of hope that Levi’s, LG, or someone else decides to sell similar cases as a separate product. It would be especially cool if it actually is made of sturdy, but recycled blue jeans material (assuming that someone has the time to wash, said jeans, eliminating any odors from previous occupants).

But as for the Netbook itself? The only reason why I am for about one Netbook with an ad for a Clothing Company is emblazoned on the top is when the clothing company subsidized the cost of the Netbook. And while I have not seen any word on pricing, somehow I doubt that the Levi’s Edition is for sale less than the standard LG X120.

via <a

While all others is the introduction of new mobile phones, LG demoed its Netbook instead. But we understand the logic for this.

LG wants to market the X120 Netbook as part of the mobile world, pure and simple. And what the time is ripe to move from one device on the market as a mobile device, but during an event at which mobile phones in the spotlight. So, if our previous hands-on report about the LG X120 left you yearning for more information on this new Netbook, let’s LG deeper into the announcement and see what new things we could get from him.

So what we want here? A 1.3 megapixel webcam, 10-inch display with LED backlight, 1.3kgs Weight, 160GB HDD, SRS WOW XT and TruSurround HD for playback, smart-link technology and USB cable connectivity, MP3 player, Photo viewer and a number of mobile Internet applications. These are fairly standard Netbook features.

Of course we also have an essential feature of the LG X120, which is probably the reason why these LG Netbook of WMC in Barcelona 3G HSPA connectivity features. Also worth mentioning is the quick-loading smart-on interface, which loads the Netbook applications menu in five seconds. Design-wise, the LG-X120 sports a soft, textured white surface with a fingerprint and scratch-resistant matte finish.

LG also said that the X120 has an improved battery life of 3.5 hours for the 3-cell battery and 7 hours for a model with 6-cell battery. If such use is lure enough time to make the X120 Netbook, you must wait until March, when the LG X120 releases in Europe.

Sorry guys, LG has no price of the X120 Netbook yet.

Laptop news

LG

laptop

notebook

xnote
<guid

No word on pricing or a date just yet, but you can get a closer look at it by filling out the video after the break.

via <a
