Creative’s Ziio seven-inch tablet on sale now

Creative has begun shipping its seven-inch tablet ZiiO 7th The unit is on budget-conscious consumers, while maintaining the company’s focus on its X-Fi audio processing and connection to wireless speakers. A new audio codec is claimed to improvements to the latency and the quality if the tablet does get audio over Bluetooth connections.

Other than the audio features, the ZiiO 7 with hardware built similar to many other entry-level Android tablets. The 800×480 display uses a resistive touch screen, rather than the more accurate capacitive panels. Users can also use an external monitor via HDMI with support for 1080p video content.

The ZiiO 7 is now available directly from the company for $ 270 with 16 GB of memory like on Samsung QX410-J01 , while the 8GB Edition brings the price to $ 250. The company still does not have the ZiiO 10, a large tablet with a 10-inch, 1024×600 screen to unlock.

New ExoPC Windows 7 Slate

It is a few months since the computer was ExoPC slate for order in Canada, but it’s only this weekend that the company started pre-orders in the U.S.. The Microsoft Store accepts pre-orders for the tablet for $ 699 U.S..

For this price you get a tablet with a 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, Intel Atom N450 CPU, 64GB Solid State Disk, 2GB RAM, and Windows 7 Home Premium like on Samsung QX410-J01. Oh yeah, it also has its own user interface, designed to navigate easily to Windows with your finger tips.

I happen to be on a demo unit on my desk that, but it will probably take a while to get around, get a full review because ExoPC please let me know the company is driving a major software update soon … and again in January. While I (will include looks like a custom on-screen keyboard that could be as a great alternative to Microsoft) is not likely for the second update of waiting, I at least spend some time with the new software before I judge that. What I’m about to say that the build quality is excellent ExoPC has a very attractive display and reasonably well thought out software such as discounted software.

MSI WindPad 100 tablet coming soon

Word on the Internet, MSI has officially expanding its WindPad 100 Tablet in January. The starting model is expected to be powered by an Intel processor and runs on Windows-based operating system.

The device is expected to a 10.1-inch widescreen touch screen display (1024×600 resolution), WiFi, accelerometer, SD slot like on Samsung QX410-J01, USB connector and mini-HDMI out feature. Several other Oak Trail-based tablets are also expected during the upcoming CES 2011.In addition, ARM-based MSI release tablets by an Nvidia Tegra 2 is driven processor. These tablets are based on Android 3.0 operating system.

Samsung QX410-J01 Review

The elegantly designed and well equipped, QX410 Samsung delivers great value and looks to do well. This 5-pound machine has a fast Intel Core i5-460M processor, Intel’s wireless display technology and NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics with battery-saving technology Optimus.

Design

Wrapped in silver aluminum with a sophisticated brushed metal treatment, the QX410 Samsung and cover the lid with a sophisticated feel. A raised logo in reflective metal letters decorated tastefully announces Samsung hand. Tipped the scales at a modest 5 pounds, the laptop measures 13.7 x 9.7 x 1.1 cm. The notebook fits in standard laptop bags without much effort and should not weigh you down.

Carved In contrast to other fashionable notebooks from a single block of metal (such as the MacBook Pro), the QX410 aluminum style is not transferred to the chassis. Nevertheless, the laptop-black plastic bottom smooth and keeps his eyes shocks edges and openings to a minimum.

Performance

The Samsung has a QX410 2.53-GHz Intel Core i5-460M processor, scaled to up to 2.8-GHz dynamic. 4GB RAM memory care duties, while a large 640 GB hard drive (5,400 rpm), which covers data storage needs.

Samsung holds the software bundle nice and easy. Standouts include Cyberlink DVD Suite for viewing and burning DVDs, Microsoft Office 2010 Starter (a full version of Office would have been nice), and a 60-day trial of Norton Internet Security. Microsoft MS Bing Toolbar is installed as standard.

An interesting feature is the ability to Easy SpeedUp Manager by pressing a function key designated run. The manager is replaced by Silent, Normal, Speed, Speed and boot modes. Silent inhibits fans and power match, you can speed a running application to prioritize first start on boats and speed boats will make the diagnosis of the system faster to startup.

Conclusion

The Samsung QX410 is a stylish and fast laptop. It is not a graphics powerhouse, but it offers a lot of momentum for the productivity and enough muscle for some light gaming on the side. The notebook is lengthy battery life and strong Wi-Fi performance are also a boon for travelers. Who better for gaming and audio, you should bulky Dell Inspiron 14, while the Sony Vaio EA offers lively colors and Blu-ray (but integrated graphics). But for the same price as the Samsung Sony machine has much faster processor, almost 1.5 hours more battery life, and discrete graphics in an affordable and elegant package. Overall, the QX410 is an excellent choice.

First 7mm 500GB Notebook Hard Drive from Hitachi

Hitachi should be more happy to offer the Travelstar Z5K500, the first 2.5-inch, 5400RPM, 7mm Hard Drive 500 GB memory, the previous record of 320 ships. The drive uses only a single disk, and should notebooks or HP MediaSmart EX495 Server that suited a 9.5 mm-thick disk found.

New CTL 2go Classmate PC E11 rugged netbook

CTL, the name behind the super-cheap laptops for schoolchildren in developing countries, has just introduced another notebook. As you now know, young children who could not know better that the fingers of a greater destructive power than those of a typhoon (figuratively speaking, of course) have to play as disclosure of sensitive electronic easy to deal with not exactly the best idea. Mac App Store to Launch January 6

Apple stores will start in the new year in style, with the launch of its highly anticipated Mac App Store, a desktop counterpart to its ultra-successful iPhone and iPad. The new storefront will be available in 90 countries and applications from a variety of categories including games, productivity, utilities, education, design, lifestyle and function like on HP MediaSmart EX495 Server.

New Cruz T301 tablet

Velocity Micro has quietly third tablet Cruz T301 released. Like the earlier Cruz Reader, it uses a seven-inch touchscreen and Android 2.0. The T301 will switch to a 4:3 ratio, 800×600 screen on the previous model of 16:9 and cuts by half memory to 256 MB of RAM, but will be good for about ten hours of operation. Pre-installed software now also Amazon Kindle e-book app instead of the Borders e-book app pre-installed on the reader.

Nextbook Next3 Android budget tablet from E Fun

Fun E just announced the addition of a new tablet under his Next Book brand Next3. It uses a 8.4-inch touchscreen and runs on Android 2.1. The tablet can be accessed on YouTube, surf the Internet and the boundaries eBook Store over Wi-Fi.
