ViewSonic VX2739WM 27-Inch Monitor Review
Display manufacturers have to raise more grandiose statements above screen capabilities perceived rivals of late have been instructed. Viewsonic is no different than his VX2739wm is allegedly the world’s first 27-inch display 1ms, promising blur images even during the wildest games and movies.
The reaction time is not just something we had space at the top of our wish list in the current environment, but the latest model was certainly a raised eyebrows when she unpacked from the box because of their sheer size. A shiny black oval stand in faux satin chrome finish complemented the color scheme of the screen itself and provides a stable platform, adapted by the tilt mechanism for comfort, although no swivel or height adjustment is available. This should not be a problem for most, because the screen size, and in our tests, we found it very comfortable in a typical desktop environment.
It also provides the key three video connections in D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI, along with four USB ports for those who want to use the display as a hub, and audio in/out of your use of the integrated speakers or a microphone.

Viewsonic has a crack at balancing the bad reputation that has given (rightly) that most in-screen speakers by offering surround sound through its SRS Premium software. This demands a deeper bass and an immersive environment, and while the latter is true in a way, the experience still far from desirable. While certainly above average, this is not a substitute for dedicated speakers, with particular emphasis on the implications would sound for the film and gaming demographic that this ad would have won.
In terms of visual capabilities, we were relatively pleased with its overall performance, but were disappointed not to see each preset environments or custom settings are available to quickly switch modes for games, movies, viewing photos or use the general Windows. It is an eco-mode, in which the background illumination of 25 percent or 50 percent of energy savings up to 35 percent weaker, but otherwise the usual contrast / brightness / color levels are about the size of the adjustments available.
Some manual fine-tuning of these has help us a slightly better picture than those proposed by the default values, but we’d imagine most users simply a convenient all-round environment rather than making constant adjustments.
Fortunately, the VX2739wm has a pretty good job as an allrounder, is capable of deep blacks and clean whites, despite marginal backlight bleed at the edges together with a decent definition. Colors can be a little inaccurate at times, although this really only when viewing slide shows and 1 ms response time certainly did a good job to eliminate any hint of ghosting or motion blur in fast moving scenes.

Despite these 1ms response time of the VX2739wm as impressive (if not subjectively quantifiable), this should not be considered the main reason for a purchase. The display’s big strength is its size and low price: for this money you are likely to another screen can be found with similar specifications, and may for that reason it has proved extremely popular.
Conclusion
Despite failing to truly impress on the performance front, the VX2739wm is desirable because of its low price and its capabilities as a decent all-rounder. Anyone in the market for a large desktop display, which would double as a TV, or for a more immersive gaming experience environment, find some better for the price.
