ASUS Eee Tablet renamed coming next year

You remember that ASUS Eee Tablet was again introduced at Computex in June, right? Of course you do, it looked like a rather large e-Reader Notes gadget, but strangely we have not heard a peep about it too. Of course, rotates the “tablet” with its 2450 dpi touchscreen sensitivity like on Asus Eee PC 1015PN-PU17 and fast 0.1 seconds Page its September release date is missing but it still kicks after ASUS, and renamed it gets – we hear Digital Note and Eee regard are potential opportunities.

ASUS Eee Tablet renamed coming next year

So when you finally be able to take notes on its 8-inch 1024 x 768 panel? ASUS tells us that it will be demonstrated at CES and officially launched in the first quarter of 2011 – although it may be in Europe a little earlier depending on local content partnerships. Embrace Mobile Computing in style with the new ASUS Eee PC 1015PN. The 1015pn packs the latest Intel Atom CPU, the dual-core N550, which consumes less power even more computing power than its predecessor, so that the 1015pn by up to 9.5 hours of battery life.

Dedicated graphics from the Ion 2 NVidia graphics processor provide trouble-free display of HD content and an HDMI port and easily accessible to a TV or an LED monitor. With built-in 802.11b Wi-Fi, users can stay connected wherever they go. make the 92%-scaled ergonomic keyboard and multi-touch touchpad it a snap to type and navigate through content. Asus Eee PC 1015PN-PU17 Review

Asus Eee PC has more varieties than we can count Netbook handy if you have lost track, you are not alone. Ion Nvidia graphics are great addition to the Asus Eee PC 1015PN-PU17, a $ 429 high-end configuration of the Eee PC 1015PEM and 1015PED. The 10.1-inch netbook, like the 1015PEM, also sports a new dual-core Atom N550 CPU.

We put in our review of the Asus Eee PC 1015PEM that the dual-core Atom slight performance improvements delivered without additional charge battery life or your wallet; offer dedicated Ion graphics an additional performance boost when it comes to video playback and even comes little gameplay, but at a higher cost in both instances. The 1015PN with Ion is more expensive than the $ 60 Dual Core Asus without.

Asus Eee PC 1015PN-PU17 Review

Even with an over-$ 400 price, the Eee PC 1015PN begins to edge uncomfortably close to 11.6-inch sub-notebooks like the Dell M101z that offer better performance. And despite the premium price tag and features, the Eee PC 1015PN corners cuts to other Data: Windows 7, only 1 GB of RAM, and a lack of a HD screen feel like disconnects. This is the best of all three Eee PC 10-inch Netbooks we’ve looked in the 1015 line, but the cost can be a deterrent to some.

How many of the previous Eee PC from Asus Netbooks 1015PN has a sleek, teardrop-shaped side profile, wider at the back and tapers to a point at the nose. It is largely the same tapered/curved design we have on most Asus Eee PCs in the last year or so seen, and it is difficult to apply to get excited about another step-like structure. Smooth surface finish on the back cover and keyboard cover guard against fingerprints, but still show some ambient glow. The Eee PC line comes in red, blue, white and black, our black model had a flat surface, which showed a few spots fingerprint. The back cover is fairly thick, and the whole unit feels solid, even a little tight, but the compact form felt easy to stow. Having no protruding edges or batteries other than a slight bump on the rear underside is a plus.

The edge to edge raised Chiclet keyboard feels fresh and has no flex, but smaller than full-size keys after a while felt tight. In particular, small palm rest feel under too small for a simple tap round. A large multi-touch touchpad is of the same comfortable matte-smooth cover/palm rest material, and is defined by a thin strip of silver on the left and right, a slight change from previous Eee PC models. The touchpad felt wider and less hedged than previous models, though our thumbs land on the pad closer to the input. A thin plastic button bar below is small but has a solid click.

Above the keyboard a little plastic power button sits on the right side, and a Quick Start button Side-by-side is a Wi-Fi on/off button on the left. Asus Express Gate Cloud Quick-Start-OS is a stripped down environment with its own browser, photo app, and a few other features. Despite its faster boot time, we doubt whether many people with his performance and limited opportunities will be satisfied, most will simply choose to boot Windows and keep the Eee PC in sleep mode between sessions. The 10.1-inch LED display on the mat 1015PN has a maximum resolution of 1,024 x600 pixels – standard for netbooks, but we have shows 1366 x 768 pixels 10-inch netbook noticed more often. For the higher price, we expect a higher resolution display in the 1015PN. Photos and videos looked crisp and perspective were adequate, but web sites felt close to this limited resolution.

Asus Eee PC 1015PN-PU17 Review

Stereo speakers, located on the bottom front edge of the Eee PC 1015PN offered louder than average audio actually sounded pretty good for video ads. You are not extravagant musical, but they are definitely good enough for most needs.

Asus chose to add a physical lens cover slider to VGA Webcam, supposedly to make people afraid to protect recorded unknowingly. It seems a little silly, and when the tab is closed, some think, temporarily, her webcam is not working anymore. Regardless, the image quality for basic video chat, but its contrasting dark silhouettes created. Cyberlink YouCam software on the system that can select from a pull-down software widget on the desktop and links to various Asus cloud storage services, and links to start included.

Netbooks rarely surprised when it regards to connections and features, and the Asus Eee PC does not break form. It does, however, add HDMI, something was missing other Eee PC 1015 models. This allows the 1015PN on HD video output to a larger monitor or TV.

The speed of the Atom N550 CPU, contain very similar to its single-core brethren, so are most of the daily tasks exactly the same as they do on other netbook. Multitasking means improvements seen, although we ask how much we really do to multitask on a tiny 10-inch netbook with such limited screen space.

Asus Eee PC 1015PN-PU17 Review

The most notable addition to this Eee PC is Ion Nvidia graphics. Although Nvidia Optimus automatically switching technology is not clear on this netbook is available with specific ion helps GPU with HD video playback and streaming. Full-screen Netflix looked very good; ABC Flash-based video player also saw great. Hulu in full screen mode was choppier than that, but still very watchable. If nothing else, this ion Eee PC turns into a video-enabled device – something that many are not really Atom netbooks.

Games can be played, within reason. Unreal Tournament III was 27.4fps in native 1024 x600 pixels, and we found other casual or older mainstream games very playable on the Eee PC 1015PN. The one big drawback, in addition to the small screen, comes from the increased fan-blown heat waves, which for this page Eee PC when using GPU-intensive tasks such as Flash 10.1 streaming video playback.

With so much heat dissipation would expect it, it would take a toll on battery life, yes it does.

The Asus Eee PC 1015PN six-cell battery lasted 4 hours and 26 minutes on our video playback battery drain test. This is more than an hour less than the otherwise identical ion-free Eee PC 1015PEM. More than 4 hours is still good enough for some, but the graphics power takes a toll on this laptop, how much juice you get. Play a lot of Flash-based videos or games, and you will for an outlet that much earlier position.

Asus offers a standard warranty of one year with the Eee PC 1015PN. Support through a 24-7 toll-free telephone line on the Internet and an online knowledge base and driver downloads are available on its website.

Fujitsu LifeBook T580 convertible notebook coming soon

At first glance, the Fujitsu LifeBook T580 as a typical netbook. It has a 10-inch display and a slim and lightweight body. At second glance, it looks like a convertible tablet-style netbook Netvertible or because you can rotate the display, fold it down over the keyboard and use the device in tablet mode. But there are at least two things that really the LifeBook T580 from every netbook on the market: price and performance.

Fujitsu LifeBook T580 convertible notebook coming soon

By definition, Netbooks are cheap. The T580 is not. I am not an advocate of saying that netbooks have less power than more expensive notebooks. If someone is willing to push a Core i7 chip in a 10-inch netbook and sell it for $ 400 I would not complain. But the folks at Notebook News.de report that the Fujitsu LifeBook T580 sell for up to 1599 or around 2200 $ U.S.. So as much as it looks like it’s not a netbook. It still looks like a heck of a notebook. First introduced in September it looks like the Fujitsu LifeBook T580 set, shipping to Germany to begin in late November. At least one dealer is a product listing for the laptop such as Alienware m17×10-1847DSB.

While there are several configuration options available, describes the product listing of a machine with a 10.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel multi-touch capacitive display and an active digitizer for pen input. It has an Intel Core i5 560UM processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB, 7200rpm hard drive and runs Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit. The laptop supports WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G wireless connectivity and features a 6-cell, 5800mAh battery. There is no word on when or if the T580 is available in the U.S..

System76 Starling netbook with dual-core

System76′s Starling netbook is to update since specifications, where you no longer rock only a single core processor, but have doubled their processing muscle – so it seems on paper anyway, as it still remains the responsibility of the developer code to be shall write for the dual-core processors. $ 385 you will be a 10-inch display, Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.04, a 3-cell battery, which will surely not last the distance, and an Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz dual-core processor like on Alienware m17×10-1847DSB.

Alienware m17x10-1847DSB Review

Alienware they are back with their most powerful portable gaming machine, done the M17x. We have recently established our hands on this huge toy and put it through its paces. Read what we thought of the Alienware m17x10-1847DSB.

Alienware m17x10-1847DSB

Now we do not mince words, this animal is absolutely great – has not for the weak, this laptop everything you expect from an Alienware PC – and it is an animal. It’s a big, thick, slot machines and we love it! The M17x weighs about the same as a small child, but it is proud of this fact. As a bodybuilder, shows off the M17x, just with a bulky case that cut the right thing.

It’s hard to call this a laptop computer because no one in their right mind would as such. The M17x for all intents and purposes is a desktop replacement – a portable gaming PC. Do not get me wrong, because this is undoubtedly a good thing. No laptop could with the power of the M17x, but we’ll get to later.

The bulky-but-sexy Alienware chic design is complemented by the crazy lighting. I call it crazy, because the configuration you have seen nothing – just think Alienware would provide this amount of customization. Not only can the colors of the stickers on the back and front, the mouse trackpad, the ‘lights’ (front fans), you can also use the keyboard up to 4-color screen at once. Whether you’re in the mood for a Rasta flag or are completely Gaming Blackout, can meet the M17x.

Alienware m17x10-1847DSB

There is no question here about it, can run if the M17x. This is probably the most powerful laptop on the market. Modern Warfare and Battlefield 2:: It was very easy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on high graphics settings. MMORPGs with its high GPU calculations weren’ta problem either, it was World of Warcraft and Star Trek Online as a dream.

Some areas of this notebook could be improved, hard drive space and weight. The computer on the hard drive was pretty disappointing for a gaming computer, but I understand the weight is inevitable – it’s a trade-off we make for the power.

In all honesty, the weight of the M17x think the only aspect that is always 10/10. This is by far the best laptop I ever used gamed on Nevermind. If you are in LAN parties this could be particularly useful because of the portability. If your computer never takes off at home though, you can consider an actual desktop computer – there is not much difference in specs at the moment, but you gain the ability to expand capacity.

If you are looking for a new computer, and you would some portability … Buy one to appreciate!
