The HPE-235f is a standard, utilitarian set of boxes packed. If you pop open the box, you are presented with the system and two small boxes. Box to Hold the keyboard while the field contains two a mouse, the standard line of “Read Me” premieres you will never be read, and to stick my first PC, color-coded guide round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes. There is no recovery media, but there is a recovery partition on the hard drive that will be useful if the hard drive crashes.
Construction and Design
The HP Pavilion Elite HPE-235f is another in a long line of shiny black monolith. If you have a soft spot for the glossy black and chrome accents, this is the field for you. But I found that even with light use during the reporting period, the panel was completely on the surface with fingerprints and scratches all over. Conversely, show the dull side panels to wear at any point. So it looks quite nice, as long as you do not touch them. The keyboard has a matching gloss and chrome finish and the corresponding fingerprint disease. Unfortunately, they saved on the bling for the mouse, it’s just a combination of matte and glossy black.
As far as construction goes, the chassis is robust. I would not as a step stool, but it served its purpose as a part-owner of a computer together. The front panel is plastic, but it’s feeling pretty thick and not cheesy. The plastic doors should stand dutifully years opening and closing limitation an errant foot, if you keep it on the floor.
There are two doors to the 5.25-inch drive bays and one on the front panel connectors. Left mouse button, right click, click, scroll wheel, optical tracking. You’ve seen all before. HP has the mouse with both hands, it is equally suitable for left and right hands.

The keyboard has over a standard charge and 10-key pad. There is a Fn key as you would find on most laptops, but it only works with five buttons: four for media control and one for the power-saving mode. Beyond the three buttons for volume control, the only other thing of note the warning label carefully into the keyboard to advise on the included security documentation read to embedded “the risk of serious injury”. Apparently keyboards are not be taken internally.
Inputs and Expansion
Apart from the 15-in-1 Media Card Reader, the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-235f is input capabilities underwhelming. Since the Main Board of the HPE-235f falls in the microATX form factor, it is not much upgrade options. The board houses a PCI-e 16x slot graphics card and uses three PCI-e 1x slots, one of which is used with the included wireless-N card. The chassis has two internal 3.5-inch bays (one used), a 3.5-inch bay and two 5.25-inch bays (used one). All four RAM slots are 2 GB DIMMs, so there any update it (a system of max 24GB) would be occupied must be replaced.

Performance
The HP Pavilion Elite HPE-235f is more than competently in day to day tasks and gaming with a “recommended” settings. The six-core AMD processor with an ATI Radeon HD 5570 combined, you are making a lot of eye candy and high resolutions, but do not allow the midrange card for both. The system takes over the last few games well at 1080p, but you have concessions with anti-aliasing to make high quality textures and high detail shadows. Fortunately, the difference between high and medium observed with textures and shadows Side-by-side comparisons required during blatant differences in the resolution.

Power, heat and noise

Under load, the fans kick up is significantly, however, any fan buzz can easily drown out what movie or game you’re watching. The only time I noticed the fans was as benchmarking alone with music from, but even in this scenario, you can still hear a pin drop.
When it comes to power consumption, the HPE-235f a dainty sipper; casually floated in desktop use 68-74 watts. Even going full throttle, was the draw is a mere 187 watts. There are GPUs that much more to devour than that. Due to its lightweight power consumption, heat is not really a problem, which is good considering the tight housing and gnarled wire job. During a 300W power supply expected, it is also worth noting that the power supply does not have a 6 – or 8-pin cable for video cards. They would probably also have problems matching each card, the additional power required.

Conclusion
The HP Pavilion Elite HPE-235f is a good choice if you are looking for a rich, middle-of-the-road system. The Blu-ray drive, optical digital audio and quiet fans make it a good choice for media enthusiasts, while the ATI HD5570 makes a reasonable game machine. It would certainly not disappoint your average PC user. As the game benchmarks showed, however, if you can not work without anti-aliasing and graphics sliders set ultra live, find the HPE-235f missing. Frankly, if the previous statement describes you, you probably do not have to find a subgroup $ 1,000 system.
In short, the HPE-235f small, black and a good performance. There can be no bells and whistles, but it has high performance with low budgets.
