Panasonic announces Toughbook F5, N9 and S9 in Japan
Panasonic today designed to strengthen the basic specifications of its Japanese Toughbook F5, N9, S9, to the 2.66 GHz Core i5 560M as a standard in the range. A fast processor with 2.8 GHz Core i7 640M is also a build-to-order option, as is the option to increase the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB. All models now offer a better battery performance of up to 14.5 hours claimed and ship with Windows 7 Professional like on Acer Aspire AS5251-1513.

The basic configuration of all updated models also update a 500 GB hard drive, although a build-to-order option allows users to 640GB or opt for a 256GB SSD alternativey. WiMAX and Wi-Fi 802.11n built for all models, to go online, while the relatively low weight of the laptop will be a highlight. The N9 and S9 both 12.I-inch LCDs and a weight of 2.9 pounds and 2.95 pounds respectively. The 14.1-inch F9 weighs 3.5 kilograms.
The new Toughbooks in either red or black to get black and white, although pricing and whether and when they could reach North America, is to be confirmed. Most models reach the U.S. fairly quickly.
