Very light and enabled laptops

This review is for: ASUS U35JC-A1

I had to wait three weeks to be available (pre-ordered on Amazon for my laptop), but it was worth the wait. My wife has an Asus UL30 and we both satisfied with him.

The UL35 exceeds UL30, though its battery life seems a little less. I have this laptop now for two days and so far everything works as expected. I ordered an external CD burner for this, which is of vital importance because this is not built on a hard drive. I use this laptop a lot for the trip and put it in a backpack and wear it on the plane.

This has a faster processor than the UL30 and a bigger hard drive.

Gripes: Because this does not come with a system CD, it took a long time (hours to burn) to four system backup CDs - and how I would do that if I had not ordered the external CD burner. Since I buy a laptop with Win 7, it is absurd that no system CD is available!

I wish they would offer a printed manual operations, even for a few extra dollars. The manual is on disk, but a paper would be easier to read. There seems to be a hot spot on the middle right side of the device.

It's nice that this with a lot of useful software has been installed: Amazon Kindle Reader, Skype, etc. I install with several of these on the laptop itself had planned. The video camera and microphone worked great, as it came out of the box, I made a Skype call to a friend and has everything worked.

Overall, I would say this is a great computer and worth the wait. My previous computer that I took with me on trips was an HP Pavilion that weighed a ton compared to this.
