Acer Aspire AS5734Z-4836
This Acer laptop is perfect for the price. It gives everything a college student could be bound and the processor and hard disk space is more than adequate for a budget level PC. I do not have it loaded with a lot of bloated software, so as not to hold a deadlock. It comes with MS Works 9 and trial MS Office 2010 Student andt Rial McAfee Antivirus.
Instead I use Open Office and AVG free and have no problems with the performance. The wireless card is b/n/g compatible and works well. The full keyboard is great and to type on a widescreen display is simply beautiful. I recommend buying an inexpensive wireless mouse and a USB hub to the periphery would record a student (printer, mouse, extra HDD Storage). This is a great laptop for anyone looking for an easy to use travel laptop or a student would like to have it on a budget. Acer Aspire AS5734Z-4836 Review

Great computer for the money!

I have two of the $ 300 models a few weeks, and have not looked back. I'm not a gamer (but has been a professional computer nerd since 1976), but my son was able to run many (but of course not al) its games on it no problems. As far as video streaming, I do not know about HD, but it plays regularly with NetFlix and YouTube is no problem. I think probably not a low-end PC would not bother streamed by all that have an Internet line is only 1.5 MB big, with cycles to spare.
I offer one bit of information that could be useful to interested parties - most of the crapware that uninstall with it (trial versions of Norton, McAfee, MS Office, etc.) is quite good, but the Egistec "MyWinLocker not"! . I wrestled with it for a while, and finally was able to completely nuke it with Revo Uninstaller. I also tried "PC Decrapifier", but at this point I had already cleaned out on the installation, it may not have realized. But I love the name - PC Decrapifier!
Oh, one other useful bit - Acer sells "System Restore" discs for $ 20 (typical!), But the laptop can create it's own discs with the Acer installed programs (can not remember the name - system recovery or something something). The laptop comes with nothing but a brief Quick Start Guide - I think this is more the norm, now know, I don 't - not a new PC in about 3 years bought.
