Acer Aspire AS5251-1513 Review
Acer has recently exploded in the list of best-selling notebooks with Acer Aspire AS5251-1513. For under $ 400, the price can not be beat. But does this cost laptop pack enough punch to be considered the best?
Of course, what initially interested us in this AS5251-1513 Acer laptop is the price. We see the top rated Netbook come accustomed to prices at $ 400, but not laptops. Laptops typically do not have the compromises and concessions that we see on netbooks. These compromises are provided in the form of limited memory, hard drives, smaller, less powerful processors and much smaller laptop screens.
So, let’s look at what was, if anything, to make compromises to give us this Acer AS5251-1513 laptop under $ 400 (the actual retail price is $ 379 at many locations).
The first thing I noticed when I received this laptop look and feel of the machine. It is quite similar to the ASUS UL80Vt-A1, which I currently rate as the best price/performance laptop on the market today. The machine is black and comes with a 15.6-inch widescreen monitor that offers solid quality laptop with a built-in web cam, easily allows you to chat video with all your friends.

The processor on the Acer AS5251-1513 laptop is a 2.20 GHz AMD V Series V120 single-core processor. I’m usually an Intel processor, but these fanatics AMD processor is fast and very well made video with the new vision technology from AMD. Many laptops, that you come today with a “dual core” processor, but the Processer should meet the needs of almost any end user.
The hard drive on this machine is 250GB. For our money, that is plenty of disk space that will adapt to all your needs. Remember, the space on the hard drive of a machine has nothing to do with speed. It simply determines how much information you provide on computer. If you do word processing, PowerPoint, and all the other Office applications, this size is sufficient. Save for the rest of us, the endless movies and music, we always need another external hard drive for your laptop to buy. 250GB will meet all but the multimedia buff who are not satisfied with the storage capacity of each disk.
Well, if we look at the memory of this machine, we see the Acer AS5251-1513 laptop with 3 GB of DDR3 memory. Is this a compromise? Well, it’s a bit like the single-core processor mentioned. Most of today’s best selling notebook with 4 GB of RAM come, but we did not quite ask the question: Is this excessive? Once again, the standard end-users are fine with 3GB of RAM. In fact, I know people who still only by fine, with 1 or 2 GB of memory in their machines and they are often designed multimedia.

Finally, the highlight that this is a good buy, it is equipped with an HDMI port. An HDMI port is the best way to get a laptop, LCD TV, which combine a great way to a room full of people share photos and movies.
In summary, this Acer Aspire AS5251-1513 write, I would say that this system is small sacrifice for all that it offers. You have a laptop, with above average results in a price that is not only affordable, but downright inexpensive.
