Just Got It today, and I installed the Windows update and Starcraft 2 (the real reason why I bought this laptop). It is so sweet. I play on Starcraft ... high? Nope. It is running on Ultra without problems. Actually, the graphics look so sharp and clear that it is quite difficult to see where your units because they are harmonious in the reflections and shadows on the surrounding so well. Did not a lot of units on the screen, thanks to my skills SC had, so I have not seen, if not the laptop or cause delay. I have a Macbook Pro and the ground hot, so I get a laptop cooler for this laptop just in case (yet). This Toshiba laptop is not hot yet. Not after two hours SCing. Regardless, it's about 20 pounds, so I would not say on my lap anyway, if you are worried about it.
Pro: Fast, all pre-installed, very good, "PC". I say PC because laptops this way faster than my current gaming PC, granted, the PC gaming five years old and very much cheaper. Speakers are awesome. You can feel the vibrations flow through the laptop. I moved the laptop a little and went this HDD protection thing. With these huge speakers, I'm surprised that does not expire HDD protection thing more often because of the vibrations from the speakers. I feel like I'm in the speakers need break, they are so big and loud!
Cons: The audio buttons on the left side ... I have met a few times in SC. You know, associate with the CTRL + number of groups. Or even when ALT + Tab Why did not they put it on the right side, according to the number pad? Or over the top? I do not know. Anyway, I've just Beat the volume keys is not a big problem. Of course, extra Toshiba etc software. I deleted a few. Some could be useful, who knows? I'm going to see a few of them to run later. I use a wireless mouse instead of the touchpad. But from my brief use of the touch pad ... It seems low. The only like on my MacBook Pro is three times larger. Anyway, because I will be with this laptop for games, I'll need a mouse, so it's no problem for me. You can turn off the touchpad on and with a button right above the touchpad, if you wanted to know.
Pro or Con, your choice: This laptop is massive! You probably need a backpack or suitcase to carry. I knew, 18.4 "was great, but damn, when you see it, it's freaking huge. It will be like carrying a 20" LCD TV with him. Compared with the Qosmio 890, it has only 4 GB of memory (and not SSD, it is a small SSD anyway, so who cares.). Do not be a problem with my gaming ... Anyway, I was playing later upgrade to 8 GB anyway, but only if it requires a game it was. Why buy additional memory if you do not need it?
