New Logitech HD Webcam C510 is here

The Logitech Webcam C510 HD combines the small but growing party of webcams in a position to HD video calls, with a relatively compact, foldable designAbout the size of a large lighter and twice as thick is the more robust Logitech C510 less than a centimeter and more than half an ounce lighter than the boxy FaceVsion Touchcam N1. We also like the classic, polished accents. The C510 is a 5-foot USB cable is fixed to the back of the camera attached. This means that the webcam slips into the included mesh bag includes wrapping the cable first, which is slightly more complicated and chaotic than packing the N1, which has a detachable cable. This webcam is for new Asus U43JC-X1.

The C510 has a rotating lens, the 360 degrees, which makes it easy to record, the action around you can can. It also includes rubber pads on the two sub-clipping mechanism to prevent scratches. In short, the C510 will look good sitting on top of your notebook display, external monitor, or just rest on the state of the rounded bottom for desktops. The C510 is Plug and Play, so if you slip into the USB port on your PC, either automatically upload the camera driver (Windows XP) or with a few instructions (Windows 7, Vista). While Logitech’s proprietary high-definition video telephony software from the website of the company may be downloaded, software for recording 8-megapixel still images, play with gripping effect Logitech options and capturing and editing (but not streaming) 720p video can only are the included software CD installs. This device does not support Macs.

hile Skype calls, which we consistently poured 30 frames per second of video in standard 640 x 480 pixels. Quality was smooth, but somewhat pixelated and blocky. The C510 employs light RightLight technology, which knows the correct adjustment can either automatically balance or be used to adjust the settings manually, light in difficult situations with backlighting. When using HD Vid, conquered the C510 sharper video with a resolution up to 1280 x 720 pixels. We observed an increased viewing angle, and more precise colors and the resolution was a sharp 1280 x 720 pixels. Footage looked as lively and detailed as if we used the N1 webcam in Skype HD.

In contrast to the stereo microphone in the Logitech Webcam-N1 containing the C510 a single microphone receiver is located on the right side of the camera. However, audio quality was good as the C510 uses a technology called Sound Right to reduce the effect of background noise. Our Co-tester belongs to us loud and clear in Skype and Google Chat, despite the fact that we were sitting about 1.5 meters from the device. The C510 is a portable Webcam 720p, the particularly good performance with a robust bundled software. But for many, the inability to use the device with Skype HD be a deal-breaker.

New Tablet Computers from Asustek

Asustek has announced a series of new devices and the first on stage is a simple Eee pad only costs are $300. This one should arrive in October. The company, based in Taiwan is the latest on the Tablet PC in cash directly to the test train in, on some of the success that Apple has had with IPAD. But the Eee pad does not become a threat to the IPAD at all, it is more likely to be current eReaders a run for their money, however.

We do not yet know if the Eee pad that will keep the name, say some call it the Eee could be notice, would also be an apt description for this device. The new tablet is an 8-inch LCD touch screen and will run on a Linux operating system. The device appears to be directed at students in the first place because it has three main functions. He works as an eReader, it is designed for surfing the web as onboard Wi-Fi, and you can take notes on it with a stylus on the touch screen like the Archos 9 PC Tablet.

It also comes with a camera, so that students can take snapshots of white boards, lectures and an audio recorder to record lectures. You also get 2 GB of memory and a MicroSD slot.Asus are also planning three other models of Tablet PCs, and these clusters can also competitors for Apple’s IPAD have been if it had come earlier, but they are not expected to appear until early next year.

Apparently Jerry Shen, Asustek’s CEO, expects that to compete with Apple, you have to be not only cheaper, you have to offer more features in order to ensure that they want it right before the start. You could be from a teaching that take Apple! Two of the tablets will run the sport, a 10-inch touch screen, but it is on Android and the other 7th on Windows Embedded Compact The Android version will probably cost in the region of $400 and the Windows version around $500.

A third model aimed at the upper end of the market, a 12-inch screen with Windows 7 have run, and the cost in the region of $1000. You get with a docking station that one.All tablet PCs with support for Flash, a camera and USB ports are (like in new Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q887).

New Clevo W860CU 3D Gaming Rig is here

The W860CU 3D is the latest version of Clevo, a 15.6 inch laptop with a 3D-capable Nvidia GTX 285m graphics and an Intel Core i7 processor. This laptop as a mobile gaming rig is designed so we can see a closer look, whether there is life on that promise.

The design of the W860CU is simple, subtle and almost rugged, silver with black plastic body and easy edge. It is not the usual branding on the casing of the machine, which is always a good thing in my book. Even the sticker on the palm rest is easy enough to remove look for a really minimal. This laptop can be marketed at gamers, but it’s design could not be further away from most other pimped out gaming rigs.

New Clevo W860CU 3D Gaming Rig is here

The screen on the W860CU looks good, with 3D features is the obvious selling point. While a little brightness in the use of 3D, its is easily reduced to lose in playing with the included Nvidia 3D glasses. The shutter glasses, the use of an external USB transmitter, but it requires that work well but are a little clumsy. The W860CU has a good looking picture with good colors and a nice contrast, but a fairly average resolution of 1366×768

The keyboard is chiclet the standard design to that on the majority of featured new releases of laptop seems to be these days, and this is a good example without Flex and strong and feel good. The touchpad features multi-touch support, with great sensitivity and a large smooth surface that works well in a variety of applications.

Connectivity seems good, thought with two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port. eSATA, DVI and HDMI ports are also featured (like in new Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q887), although it would have been nice to see a VGA port are to support older devices. Noise and heat issues are minimal, especially when you consider everything that has power under the hood a gaming laptop.

Speaking of power, that’s where the baby really shines with its Intel Core i7 820QM quad-core processor and a graphics card that can keep up when asked. All the power under the hood, have a very negative impact on battery life but not much more than one hour under moderate use. This fact alone makes this laptop useless for many people who are a disgrace when you consider the technology has to offer.

If you can get beyond the short battery life, theClevo W860CU 3D is definitely worthy of consideration, and a great gaming rig, if not particularly mobile, when the network. There are a number of configurations available, with the base model from $1,765.

New Kobo Reader announced

With its minimalist design, Kobo offer definitely looks the part eReader a budget, but the device does not look cheap. Instead, it gives the impression that there is easy to use, what with consumers, not as comfortable to insert with the technology as early adopters. Picking up the Reader, it’s surprisingly light, only 7.8 oz in the Nook’s 12.1 oz. Kobo Reader‘s measures 7.2 x 4.7 x 0.4 inches, only slightly smaller than Barnes and Noble device (7.7 x 4.9 x 0.5 inches). It is also nice in the hand by the low weight, rounded edges, and rubber-like quilted back.

New Kobo Reader announced

The reader has only two ports, an SD Card at the beginning and a mini-USB port (like in new Asus U43JC-X1)on the bottom for charging or connecting to a computer. Buttons for Home, Menu, Display and rear (no previous page) line of the lower left edge of the device, and a five-way D-Pad for navigation and the pages turn over is sitting on the right corner of the device. The five small raised bumps on this pad is, one for each direction and another in the middle, a nice gesture.

This simplicity in design continues on the inside of Kobo Reader as well. The start screen shows the most recently read books and your place in them. From the menu you can access the books and documents screens that lists all available tracks and files. Other than that, there is only the settings and sync options. There are no other characteristics, functions or games.

We found the Kobo Reader’s interface easy to understand and navigate straight away, which in turn should find less-technical users. However, we wish that the software gave us more options for sorting and organizing books, such as custom collections, as the essential by title and by author From Last Read to options may be slow to search for, especially with a large library . As the reader comes preloaded with 100 public domain books, it’s a question straight from the box. At least the software allows users to sort the letter skip if they want, by title or author.

New HP ProBook 4425s is here

The AMD-powered, provides 14-inch notebooks for small business lean, but not impressed by its quad-core performance and battery life.

Made for Small Business users is the HP ProBook 4425s of the latest AMD-powered 14-inch member of the company’s popular line. With a stylish, yet robust design and excellent keyboard, the 4425s , provides the role of an expensive executive-class system. However, it’s quad-core AMD processor (like in new Asus U43JC-X1), much to be desired, as well as its battery life. In addition, a somewhat fussy touchpad, and you have a small business machine, which did not quite make the cut.

New HP ProBook 4425s is here

Weighing and measuring 13.2 x 9.2 x 5 pounds 1.1 inches, is the 4425s not the lightest or thinnest 14-inch notebook, but it slides into a pocket easily enough (the Lenovo ThinkPad 412 L, for example, weighs 5.2 pounds). Like other ProBook, has mounted a brushed aluminum cover and deck with a shiny black plastic bezel and the keyboard 4425s. While some prefer the 5310m ProBook black aluminum-look or plain EliteBook 8440p, we have no objection to the dark brown color of the 4425s. The bottom of the machine is made of hard plastic.

In contrast to the EliteBook 8440p, the 4425 is the cover with the rest of the housing with a plastic drop associated hinge. The look is smooth, but it is not as durable as the magnesium hinges on the EliteBook. However, the spill-resistant keyboard and HP 3D Drive Guard protects the hard drive from sudden movement or vibration.

Like most of premium notebooks from HP ProBook the 4425s has an island-keyboard. We found it very comfortable to type on, and were up to our typical speed in no time. We liked the easy Gritty texture on the surface of the keys, which kept our fingers from slipping.

While HP has with the touchpad progress in the Envy 14, we found the 4425s’ touchpad a bit picky. While not as outrageous as ever, the cursor sometimes jumped as we navigate the desktop. Because the mouse buttons are built into the touchpad, users who use both hands, a serious problem will have to jump with the hands, because they try to click. enlarge The 3.5 x 2-inch pad supports multitouch gestures like pinch, but we found them rather suddenly and hard, without control, with two fingers.

During our tests, the 4425s has ProBook cool. measured even after Hulu streamed video in full screen mode for 15 minutes, we the touchpad at 86 degrees Fahrenheit, the keyboard at 88 degrees, and the ground at 83 degrees. All are well below what we consider inconvenient.

New ThinkPad X100e Dual-core from Lenovo

Lenovo has just updated its Netbook X100e, so that a new dual-core AMD processor for better performance. With an AMD Turion X2 dual-core neo CPU and ATI Radeon graphics card on board, making this netbook have what it with the Intel Atom-based Netbooks rival takes to compete?

The Thinkpad X100e offers a 11.6 inch LED screen, x with a healthy resolution of 1366 768th As with all computers in the Thinkpad series, the X100e is a very solid build, and would be a welcome addition to the boardroom and the bedroom to do the same. It shares a common look with the rest of the Thinkpad series, and is available in “Midnight Black” and “heat wave red ‘.However, the X100e from the standard Thinkpad design in a way that is different, with the keyboard chiclet design that is very popular late. The keyboard has a similar level of quality, however, although the lack of a backlight a little disappointing. Once you have a backlit keyboard, it’s hard to go back, and this may in itself be reason enough to use off for some consumers.

New ThinkPad X100e Dual-core from Lenovo

The screen has a matte surface, which is mainly used differently than the glossy screens in many other Netbooks. While glossy screens can be large under certain conditions, I much prefer the readability outdoors, which can make a matte screen. The sound is far from fantastic, but it is loud enough for most applications and very low in default.Performance wise, the Dual-Core X100e is a huge improvement over its single-core predecessor, because of the AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core processor Neo L625 on board. For the price is asked, this is a faster computer that will be more than enough for most users’ mobile needs. In fact it is so good that it easily X100e an ultra portable notebook or netbook.

Most of the usual connections are provided with a handy 4 in 1 Card Reader, but no HDMI or Display Port connectivity. The USB standard is only 2.0 as well (like in new Asus U43JC-X1), but that’s really not that surprising in a netbook-class computer. Disapointingly works, the Thinkpad X100e run a little hot, never a good trait for an ultra portable computer that is realistically a lot to be used on the lap.Battery life is an important issue on any portable laptop, and the X100e fairs well, if not brilliant in this respect, to slightly more than 4 1 2 hours, with wireless Internet use. Overall, it’s hard on the X100e, if the selling price of about $550, which is not much when you build the quality and performance that are considered in the offer believes complain.
