New Dell Latitude E6400 XFR
This is a great machine for those of you who a – much – more robust design need, although not that kind of build quality at a price. The Latitude XFR E6400 is ideal for field work, and met a number of military standards for heat, humidity and vibration. The Dell Latitude XFR E6400 is the kind of computer that can you spill your coffee all over, and then delete one from 6 feet in height only for the fun of it.
With up to is not an Intel Core Duo processor P9600 this model as up-to-date as the other computers on this list, although it is still very well in the competition and is unique enough to make the cut. Equipped with a 14.1 inch display (like new Toshiba Satellite L645-S4032), which is incredibly bright for outdoor use, excellent viewing angles and a backlit keyboard, this is a very useful bit of kit. If you really need a robust Go-Anywhere machine, and have about $5,000 available, the E6400 is a wonderful XFR laptop. For a less hardcore, but still rugged design, there are also much cheaper semi-rugged Latitude E6400 Toshiba ATG.
Exactly what makes a good business notebook means different things to different people, depending on the nature of your business where you like to work, and how much power you really need. My best advice is to view a list of the specifications that make it really important to you and how you work and compare how many different models are possible, that your individual budget.
