A good choice

I looked at netbooks for about two months, compared with all the different functions. Then I went to the streets to see them in person and put my hands on the keyboard. I ended up choosing the Toshiba NB205-N325, because all my criteria (Windows 7, met Expandable memory, long service life of the battery, and the general quality of construction) and because it has the best keyboard for my hands. " The buttons are large and slow down the sub chicklet-sized keyboard just for me a little of a full-size version.
After shopping around I ended up buying it directly from Amazon. They had the best prices on Cyber Monday 329.99. Interestingly, the price is now back up to 380 + so I'm lucky to guess the timing.
I threw the 2GB RAM upgrade in my cart, and the machine was found later at my door about 8 days.
Start up was a breeze. It's my home network and network printer found without a problem. enabled shopping I downloaded Chrome as my browser with no problem, the Norton study (even for an antivirus program) and activated the free trial version of Office (I actually have the software but have not gotten around to activate my copy). I have several USB devices plugged in, without question, a wireless mouse and an external hard drive. No problems. The 160 GB hard drive provides plenty of space and if you failed to make and save movie files, you should never need to plan more. After about an hour I shut down again and installed the 2GB RAM chip to do the simple. You just have to remove a screw that is right for a small cover on the back and the chip. Pop out the old and new in and then start again. The manual puts it perfectly. I did not run it long enough for the 1GB chip to give you a comparison of performance, but with 2GB it seems as fast as my other laptops. I think the upgrade is a breeze, if you plan your netbook to something more than reading e-mails.
The only downside is I had with the display. About two hours after I started suddenly become insane to the display, twitching all over. I was on a cordless phone accepted at the time to talk and somehow disturbed the display. It happened again two days later I was to not only speak on the phone. Both times I did it by quitting the rest and then start again (which only takes a few seconds). I do not know what they want from this but so far has not been repeated and I know at least how to make it stop. If it happens again, I'll call Toshiba.
My overall impression is that I love this little guy. It's all I wanted to do it and is the ultimate in portability. I use it on and off all day, close the lid when I'm done, it brings into sleep. It wakes up almost instantly, so this is a good way to prolong the battery. The only time that I plug it into the night is. I have never come near the battery runs down. The fit and finish of the machine are terrific.
