Lenovo to Release “LePad” Tablet PC

iPhone compete Following the publication of their own handset with Apple, Lenovo looks like it may take to prepare for the IPAD. The Chinese company plans to release its own tablet PC at the end of the year.

The device is called “LePad” it will be a big brother of Lenovo ThinkPad X201 and is the mobile operating system to use Android, according to recent comments by Liu Jun, senior vice president and president of Lenovo Consumer Business Group announced and the company.

The product development comes as the chairman of Lenovo, said earlier this month that Apple CEO Steve Jobs does not focus on the Chinese market. “If Apple were to spend the same effort on the Chinese consumer than we are, (Lenovo) would be declared in need,” Liu Chuanzhi told the Financial Times.

Other Chinese companies have also developed their own tablets, and some even their billing devices as imitation iPad. But Lenovo laptop would be one of the largest to take over his building such a device.
