HP Pavilion dm1z AMD-powered notebook is now available

HP has started selling the Pavilion dm1z thin and light notebook in the U.S.. This thin and light notebook has a 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and an AMD chipset. The base model has a 1.7GHz AMD Athon Neo K125 II processor, but there are several dual-core upgrade options. Each version comes with ATI Radeon 4225 graphics card.

The HP laptop comes with 2 GB to 5 GB of DDR3 memory and 7,200 rpm hard drives with a size of 250 GB to 500 GB. There is also a 128 GB solid state drive option. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit standard is, but you can also upgrade to Windows 7 Professional.

The base model starts at $ 449.99, but if you Bluetooth, an SSD, an additional 6-cell battery and a dual-core processor may want to double the price easily. There is also a 3G modem option, which would set you back $ 100, but you will get a $ 100 credit when you activate service with Verizon.
