HP Envy 15-1150NR
Although it offers a brilliant screen, great performance and unique design, Envy 15 in short battery life (with standard battery), high temperature, and awkward keyboard would be a lot of buyers with. If you are a designer of graphics or video editor, Envy 15 is more powerful than the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but you will probably prefer the more endurance Apple machines and more comfortable keyboard and touchpad. Overall, Envy 15 has the courage to be a murderer MacBook, but we would like to see HP offer longer battery life, without adding 2 pounds of weight and lower temperatures. HP Envy 15-1150NR Review

Envy is a solid choice

I have had my hp envy in a month, and I truly love him (with notes). I upgraded from the HP DV6226, which ran Vista Home 32bit, so my experience is better understood. There are no media tasks that could bog down, do not even live streams for encoding video. Performance and screen images go far beyond the Mac Books of my friends. Now notes ...
If I do not speak very good laptop cooling pad for talks heat issues, each disk will be about me nuts. I put her through a lot to see where it would simply refuse to die, and found that after about 30 minutes without cooling area all have been taken to encode 2 1GB video files and streaming 2 HD channels on the Internet.
This is not what most would do with his HP laptop, but if you're going to buy one for that money is a very good notebook cooler, otherwise you will experience heat related freezes.
