DELL Vostro 3400
Dell is smart release of the new Dell laptop – Vostro 3400, the new notebook for small business purposes. Dell Vostro 3400 is a good combination of mobility and performance. This laptop is powered with Intel Core i3 350M at 2.26 GHz, 2 GB DDR3 memory and 320 GB hard drive capacity. This laptop is an upgrade of the previously released Dell Vostro 3300. This new series is more powerful processor and some minor upgrade to the exterior design.
Dell Vostro 3400 is an evolutionary design change for Dell’s line of small business laptops. The Vostro 3400 is itself a mixture of plastic and metal construction, the difficult balance between business-grade durability and affordable small business tries to strike. The 14-inch high-definition (1366 x 768) panel on the Dell Vostro 3400 offers vibrant colors, the only reasonably a bit cool (blue) to the default settings. DELL Vostro 3400 Review

Good value laptop

This is my fourth Dell notebook. Had a Lattitude D610, Inspiron 9100, E6400 and Lattitude this Vostro 3400. This computer is mainly used for surfing the web, listen to music and occasionally movies. I am saving for a long time whether the i5 processor discussed (to get more power), but ended with a i3 money. I am glad that I have the i3 as the computer seems fast enough already (especially using Google Chrome browser).
I did not know how at first the keyboard. I noticed some of the keys on the keyboard (especially the "i" and "Delete" button) were not smooth and awkward. When I pressed directly down, it's ok. If I pushed a bit forward before turning it on, it will rub against one another plastic, and is "Clicky" and even stuck. I called support and they sent me a refurbished keyboard the next day. I had the choice to pay on the keyboard itself, or replace Dell to replace it given. It was pretty easy, and I did it myself. Now I am happy with the keyboard.
Cons:
Fan runs 50% of the time, that is, the heat is not dispersed well enough. Perhaps it is because the underside of the laptop is in contrast to plastic D610 and E6400. The fan on my D610 to rare kicks. E6400 is also quieter. Then again, the fan on Vostro 3400 is not too loud (in the acceptable range), in contrast to the lousy Inspiron 9100th
Smaller screen than E6400. The screen is wider, but shorter vertically, it's a bit annoying that I scroll up and down to see some pictures. Then again, is that the cost of a smaller computer, just have to get used to it. E6400 also has a better resolution.
Pros:
Not glossy screen
Better speakers E6400 compared. Similar to my D610.
No trialware installed.
Good graphics
Has a webcam (no webcam on E6400)
Lighter than E6400, but not as light as air Mac.
