Dell Inspiron Mini 10

High-end extras such as a higher-resolution display and HDMI output, very configurable, for a netbook, including optional wireless broadband. Options drive the price up in the mainstream laptop territory, the same basic chassis as the sub-$ 300 version of the Mini 10.

Dell Mini 10 Netbook is popular adaptive, we have seen. Adding extras such as higher resolution makes it useful, but also blurs the line between Dell netbook price and mainstream notebooks. Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Review

Terrific Netbook

By Westley (Stuck in my head)

This review is from: Dell Inspiron Mini 10

Note I use for my work computer, but not much attention on details about them. I am sometimes deliberately ignorant of the details of my work computers, so this review (for better or worse) will not differ a great emphasis on its technical specifications and details. I wanted to use a simple computer outside of work, and that is what I have here. I got this Dell netbook a few days ago and wanted to share my first impressions of it.

I know a lot of writing for my job and need to have frequent e-mail access. I witnessed a Dell notebook but that it is a bit of trouble drawing it to somewhere, it must ultimately be home most of the time. When I saw this, Dell Netbook on sale, I thought it would be ideal for my needs. In particular, I wanted something very light, that I would allow web access to answer e-mail, to access PDF documents and edit documents. The Dell has all this and more.

My job buy all my computers (the last computer I bought myself was a Commodore 64 when I was a child), I was a bit nervous buying. I checked out reviews here and elsewhere, and they seemed to indicate that there would be the Dell Netbook good for my needs. However, I was concerned about some accounts of the Netbooks slower than other laptops, and with many gaps. Fortunately, my concerns were unfounded (it isn `t slow and I have a low need for extensive computer memory have anyway). I had never seen a computer before unpacking (IT people to have in my job, that honor), but it could not have been easier. I was literally on my new netbook in minutes. Everything was pre-installed and operational.

I had hoped that occur with Microsoft Word, but instead includes Microsoft Works Word Processor, which I `d never before. If I wanted to open a Word document from my e-mail, I was prompted to download Word Viewer. The two programs are compatible, but it is a bit awkward to convert documents back and forth. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase. The netbook is not accessing the network with many programs open at the same time slow down. It is super light - not much bigger or heavier than a large hardback book. The battery in the back sticks a bit, although it actually helps make it stable on a flat surface. Even straight from the box, the battery was well over 5 hours. Other features include a webcam, Adobe Media Player, Explorer - all the standard elements you would expect. As I mentioned, I can not attention on computer specifications and whether it has this feature or not. I'm just not my computers for everything too complicated. But for what I need, the Dell netbook more than exceeds my expectations. The netbook is portability is it ideal for carrying around and travel. I think it would be a great starter computer for kids and teens.
