ASUS Eee PC 1000HE Review
Organise and improve the Asus Eee PC 1000HE takes no prisoners. While the previous Asus Eee PC 1000 netbook proposed solid Acer Aspire One in stealing all the attention his evil and incredibly affordable approach. In the latest incarnation of Eee PC 1000, “Your Excellency” may also mean “Holy Improvement!” This model is only marginally similar to the Eee PC last year, and improves almost everything: from the keyboard to the CPU. Moreover, in addition to the loss of some unsightly girth, Asus also cut the price to $ 400.
Let’s take a quick look around the car to blow this off. The first, most obvious thing you’ll spot notch keyboard. Just as you find on the Apple MacBook Air or Sony VAIO notebooks, keys, pierce plastic, creating a huge gap between the buttons. In this regard, it feels and looks good, and usually more convenient. Trackpad only spacious – I particularly like its design and several features of metal multitouch included in the overall design. Nevertheless, I found that the panel a little bit nervous control. No deal breaker, but I noticed.

You also get a couple of handy shortcut buttons hovering in the upper part of the device. They do everything from the CPU to improve speed (more on this below) and user-defined labels for the adapter screen resolution. That is, you can view the 1024-by-768 resolution, although 1000HE native resolution of 1024 x 600 – is a special compression mode, Lenovo is working in the IdeaPad S10, and also provides comfort, given that some applications by default in 1024-on-768 pixels and will not work otherwise.
10.1-inch backlit LED screen device is bright and capable of good color, its glossy surface helps the image pop a bit more than you usually see on netbooks. Nevertheless, a polished bar that holds the screen in place can get a little distracting at times.
A number of biting wind and folds to make the 10.3-to-7 .4-on-1 .4-inch netbook just a hair thinner than the older, clunkier Eee PC 1000, we reviewed the past year. It’s also a bit of “heavy” to achieve netbook weighing 3.2 kg. This price is binding 8700mAH battery on the bottom of the case, Asus promises that 1000HE will deliver 9.5 hours of productivity (but we were hard 7:00 9 minutes in our tests). In other words, netbooks on this generation finally, packaging the batteries needed for marathon meetings calculations.

Talking about performance, PC Asus Eee 1000HE Sports Corporation Intel 1,66 GHz Atom N280 processor. For comparison, the majority of netbooks, which came out late last year used the processor N270, which operates at a low frequency (1.6 GHz) and slower bus speed (533MHz compared to 667 MHz in the N280). The difference, however, was minimal. Our test unit was 35 in WorldBench: the average score for what you find in netbooks.
Asus comes with 1 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive, and 802.11b/g/n / Bluetooth wireless. Along the perimeter of the case is fairly standard set of three USB 2.0 inputs.
Audio, as well as on the Eee PC 1000, sounds surprisingly strong for its size. But it lacks a good subwoofer, so do not expect to rock the party with this thing. Other notable features thrown into the mix: InterVideo WinDVD (which seems a bit redundant, I recommend that you try KMPlayer), and 18 months and 10 GB of free space on the Internet.

In the end, it is quite hard – and significant – jump over the fact that he came just a few months ago. In fact, I would venture to say that among the Netbook pack, is one of my current favorites and what I highly recommend you check out. Considering that its sales in some places for only $ 380, you can do worse.
