This review is for: Acer Aspire 3574-AO721
It has long been a Netbook search for me. I was looking for something that small (but not too small) is light, thin, and better performance than Atom powered netbooks. Sure I looked through each brand and model, including Toshiba, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Dell, etc., there are some nice out there, but they all have at least one significant disadvantage: high price, Atom processor, or some kind of Problems, such as sluggish mouse pad.
I had an old model of the Acer Aspire One 11.6" discovered about a year ago. It looked beautiful. So when I saw that a new model was released, I immediately bought. Well, how do I write this here with my Post new Acer, I can not say enough how happy I am to say that this model chosen.
Pros:
- I like 11.6" screen. Greater than 10" but smaller than 13". Very useful for the work!
- Performance is great. 1.7 GHz processor is fast. Clear advantage over Atom processors.
- Keyboard. Full size keyboard is very comfortable.
- Mouse Pad responded and has a nice gesture, multi-function, which allows you to enlarge or shrink the page. Since the 11.6" is not 17", it may be useful at times.
- It is very thin and light. It's so easy to put it in your briefcase, backpack or purse and carry with you everywhere throw.
- I like that the power cord attached to the side and can be rotated. This design keeps constant from bending and breaking.
- It has a web camera and microphone. Skype lovers happy! : -)
- 2 GB DDR 3 memory is sufficient (assuming you do not use as your primary laptop for Photoshop or similar).
- 250 GB HDD
Overall, it is a very nice laptop with very professional, elegant looks, high performance and features. If you want something small and inexpensive, but powerful, Acer Aspire One is about as good as it goes.
Cons:
Well, it's hard to have any name. It is good. But there are some things that need to accept you if you purchase a laptop of this size and price.
- Of course there is no CD-ROM, but the availability of wide range of flash drives actually cares about this issue.
- The speakers are clear, however, do not expect, you blow it with a powerful sound.
- The battery keeps you from 5 to 5.5 hours (economy mode). Yes, give the most atomic powered netbooks you work between 6-10 hours battery operation, but they are also slow. The bottom line is you have to decide what you are willing to sacrifice. Spend about $ 300 more and you can something so powerful, with an excellent battery life. Buy and enjoy slow atomic battery, Acer, or buy and enjoy good performance with a descent battery life. Honestly, how often you away from the wall outlet for more than 5 hours?
Bottom line: my search for a small laptop netbook was completed with the purchase of Acer.
Aspire One 11.6". I like it very much and it meets all my needs for a very good price. Money is not your concern? To buy something better, otherwise you will enjoy this laptop and a good feeling that several hundred dollars saved, while a great product!
