Asus UL30VT-X1K
ASUS UL30VT-X1K chiclet keyboard is as comfortable to use. Multi-touch touchpad comes in handy. 13.3-inch LED display is perfect size, not too small not too large. 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor is very fast processor, Windows 7 is running perfectly. Better than any other processor thin and light in this price class. Let specs will be misled by the low speed. This Ultra Low Voltage processor is the key to great battery life. Better quality RAM than most other laptops, is 4GB more than enough for some multi-tasking. More space than I need. I love ASUS UL30VT-X1K laptop and would recommend it to anyone looking for portability, functionality, and some sex appeal. Asus UL30VT-X1K Review

Almost perfect thin and light notebook

I was excited about the series from Asus ULxxVT been since they were announced only a few months. I originally purchased UL80VT back when it was published in October, but eventually he returned following a very sharp dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. This was probably the best, because a week made with the UL80VT clear to me, it was bigger than I needed, and I do not really use too much for the optical drive.
Based on my brief ownership of the UL80VT I knew to expect certain things with the UL30VT, but I must say that UL30VT has exceeded my expectations. Although I never felt the build quality was on the UL80VT it is much better on the smaller UL30VT bad. Apparently because of the smaller scale things are a bit tighter, as it is almost a short circuit suffered flex at all. The keyboard is okay. All is well distributed, although the small right shift key a bit annoying. Honestly the only thing on the keyboard, which is not great, that it is a bit noisy on the page as very clackity when you type. I know a lot of people do not like the dimples ASUS touchpad, but I honestly do not think it so bad, and it has tons of multi-functions that make a real joy to use it. The only button touchpad button is not as solid as on the way your UL80VT push a little bit easier for those who do not use tap not only. The screen is also in my opinion much better than the UL80VT in terms of contrast, which I felt was subpar on the larger model. Perspectives are still not large, but they are not on most notebooks these days. The hard drive is a bit loud, but it's not really noticeable.
I know a lot of battery life will be held on these models UL and it should be pointed out that this comes with the 10 hour battery, not the 12-hour one Amazon lists. Even be a 63whr, 4400mAh 8-cell battery that I just got wifi in a position to 7 hours of surfing the Internet and there is still life left (sorry, I did not last long enough to have a full battery test yet ). So while it would have been nice for the larger battery 84whr I do not think that I too many examples where I need it too will have had. Also just to correct another wrong part of the Amazon listing, the UL30VT weighs 3.92 pounds, in my precision balance with the battery installed. Much light for me, but I do not know how they 3.7 pounds, which had listed here. The UL80VT also has the wrong weight in his collection, as it weighed 4.8 pounds when I weighed listed in October.
Overall I am very glad that I waited for the UL30VT, the idea of creating a low-overclocked system is an ingenious concept that ASUS laptop has been running very well here. The result provides the user with a regular full power voltage Core 2 Duo is equivalent to a still-large battery. There really is nothing else on the market such as the VT-series for laptops and $ 799 get you a lot. Sure the bigger battery or a longer warranty A Series UL models (this model is one X) would be nice, but it would then cost more and to be honest, it still has better battery life then most of the systems on the market, and nearly all consumer laptops come with a one year warranty to begin with! Given the price that I do not recommend this system can adequately, safely, there are a few things to be improved, but for me it could be just what I needed in a laptop at hundreds less than I originally expected to pay.
