Great Laptop for the price!

I have my laptop for about three weeks and had not experienced any problems. Guess My Mine was manufactured on a good day compared to some others. It started well, no problem, burning the recovery DVDs, no problems after waking up from the lid is closed - simply press the power button. It wakes up exactly where I left off --- Internet, Word document, etc. A previous reviewer mentioned, the brightness of the display to dim after a few minutes, but you can simply enter the settings according to your wishes.

The i5 processor is fast, the notebook is running smoothly, even when the fan is at. The laptop does not heat up much. I use it on my lap, sitting on the couch and even after 2-3 hours is not my round fine (warm or unpleasant). I think I'm a couch potato! The multi-directional pad is pretty cool, but really sensitive. It takes some getting used to, but that's because I'm a mouse Wheel person. However, I do like the touchpad and can convert. Sound is crisp and clear. The battery life depends on what you do. I get about 3.5 hours when surfing the Web. It is about 2 hours when watching a DVD. There are a lot of bloatware on it which I have not removed, since then I brush up on how to remove it.

Guarantee: There is only one warranty card in the box, it is for accident prevention guarantee. The 1-year global warranty is automatic. Amazon wanted to get me back because it lacks information about the global warranty was but I called Asus to see if I should get a separate card in the box. Asus said only the ADC map is in the box, because the global advanced automatically. Asus confirmed by running my serial number. Anyway, you can register your laptop online from Asus and register your ADW online. But you still have a copy of the invoice and ADW mail confirmation mail to the address they tell you.

Comments on Asus: Asus's website is a challenge, but eventually you navigate find what you are looking for. Your service was very helpful. I had no technical problems so that I can not be said about their technical assistance.

I hope this post is helpful. I have a lot of research on this site and others before buying this laptop and I am very happy with my purchase. $ 899 for a 16-inch Quality i5, 500 GB hard drive, NVIDIA graphics and a guarantee that the free ADW includes. The only improvement would be if the laptop could play Blu-rays, but no biggie.
