New gaming laptop Maingear eX-L 15
Maingear updated their ex-L 15 gaming laptop, same as Pavilion dv7-3180us by Intel Core i5 and i7 CPU options and ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics to the mix. The 15-inch notebook offers players the latest mobile CPU and GPU technologies under one roof. Dual-Core Core Core i5 and i7 chips are built on the latest 32nm Intel’s Manufacturing Technology, and the Radeon HD 5870 graphics processor that supports DirectX 11 and has 1 GB of dedicated video RAM memory.
Prices start at $ 1,599 for a configuration that the core i5-520M, 4 GB DDR3-1333 memory and a 250GB hard drive. Upgrade options are a trio of Core i7 processors, doubling the memory to 8 GB, and solid-state drives from Crucial, Kingston and Intel.
In other than gaming laptops that 17 – or 18-inch displays, the ex-L 15 has a relatively compact 15.6-inch screen. It has a backlight and a native resolution of 1600 x 900 LED.
