ViewSonic introduces its first Windows 7 netbook

ViewSonic, like virtually all netbook manufacturers in the face of the earth, is the introduction of a new Windows version 7 of its 10-inch mini-laptop. The VNB102 with Windows 7 Starter Edition will be on the streets on 18 December.

Apart from the new operating system, there is little to set aside the earlier VNB102 of netbooks ViewSonic, or pretty much any other PC manufacturer, for that matter. The computer has a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive.

The screen is a 10-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. It sports Ethernet, 802.11b g WiFi, and a VGA output. And the netbook has a 6-cell battery that Viewsonic says is good for up to 6 hours.
