Rumor: Pine Trail Atom netbooks due January 11
Intel could be a flood of netbooks on the Pine Trail platform on a single day, where a right to bear from Friday. Without regard to secondary sources, DigiTimes claims that are waiting Acer, Asus, Lenovo and MSI have all agreed to a portable device with the 1.66 GHz Atom N450, 11 January, a day after Intel, the processor should start to reveal themselves. Most of them would be running Windows 7 Starter Edition, but companies also have the pick of Intel’s own Moblin Linux or Windows XP Home to keep the price down.
During the day comes a week after the first thought Pine Trail Start atoms, it remains with the expected release schedule and will be available only after CES, when many of the companies involved are still probably at least put preview their new systems.
