How to Select the Best HDTV Antenna
Connect your existing antenna to your high-definition TV (HDTV) and see if it works. The new digital signals come from the same towers that used to transmit the old analog signals. Make sure to adjust themselves to your TV so that over-the-air signals as opposed to cable or satellite scan, and run a scan.
Check the channels on your digital TV. Scroll through by them. If you are picking the ones you see, you do not need to continue with these steps.
Enter your address on the website AntennaWeb (http://antennaweb.org/aw/Welcome.aspx) at the reception, the options for your location. Press the button “Send”.
Look at the second column of the results page. It is characterized tv antenna type and is color-coded. The third column lists stations. Imbedded Click on the text link in the Antenna Type column. The resulting page will describe what kind of antenna you need to get the adjacent railway station in the third column.
