Verizon Wireless announces Gateway LT2016u 3G netbook
Verizon Wireless has expanded its netbook lineup with the Gateway LT2016u, a 3G mobile broadband-enabled computer. The Windows XP-based device includes a wide range of functions, users should have access to serious computing power to go everywhere they go.
The netbook features an Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor, 1 GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM and a 160 GB hard drive. The LT2016u’s 10.1-inch WXGA display with LED backlight should be lit, and Verizon to promise to 6 hours of battery life from the netbook.
In addition to the 3G data connectivity, WiFi technology provides access to high-speed local connections. The computer also has a multiple-format memory card reader, the SD, XD can read, and Memory Stick cards.
