Pop in the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco next week, and you are done locally tailored, in the midst of the chips and motherboards, a fun little number from Toshiba in the form of a half-terabyte hard drive for netbooks.

The MKxx56GSY series of drives are 2.5-inch SATA models running min at 7,200 rpm all the way up to 500 GB.

Toshiba says the entire range of HDDs is 13 percent faster than its predecessor and that the new models are much easier to electricity.

Netbook sales booming

While the drives fit into any machine is Toshiba, which they probably as options for builders netbook position, and it extends even to the application in its booming from ultra-lights.
