Still in search of a small Netbook with the HP brand, until now? How about the HP Mini 1101? No, we are not talking about the low-power standard spec’d HP Mini 1101, but a powerful few courtesy upgrade options are being developed by HP to its online store.

That’s right folks, you can now buy a new pre-configured HP Mini 1101 with 6-cell battery and a choice between a 32 GB SSD and 3G module. And of course the other functions of the standard HP Mini 1101, a 10.1-inch display, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HD and Windows XP.

So, you decide whether the 6-cell battery option, and 32 GB SSD deserves the extra money for the HP Mini 1101 Or you can sit back, relax and wait until HP decides to slightly more sophisticated features of the HP Mini 1101.

Acer Debuts Timeline 8000 Series

Acer has teamed up with the next in the series timeline family – the 8000, aimed at business users and regular consumers.

The new timeline in the 8000s is 13.3 “, 14″ and 15.6 “version, but all have a resolution of 1366 x768. You have the choice of Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Duo ULV CPUs, 4 GB to an impressive 8GB of RAM and hard drives from 160 GB to 500 GB or 80 GB SSD. Other features include an upgrade to an ATI 4330 GPU instead of Intel GMA 4500MHD, multi-touch trackpad, and 3G. 8000 claims to reach 8 hours of battery life and has a function , where it stops charging active when the battery is at 100%, reducing the harmful effects of overloading.

Pricing and availability has not yet been announced.

Acer and ASUS To Suspend New Netbook Releases Until 2010

According to Digitimes, the two companies to delay production until the new Intel Netbook Pine Trail-M platform comes in 1st Quarter 2010.

Intel’s Pine train platform, with the new Atom N450, was to come before next year, but was recently postponed. Acer and ASUS have just followed. Acer also has the demand is too small for his dual boot Android XP Netbook idea and the production on that as well. However, ASUS is still a debut Android based Netbook sometime in October.

Both companies plan to continue new ultra-thin and light notebooks by the rest of the year.
