F88 Netbook features VIA Nano CPU, HDMI

At first glance, the F88 Netbook looks very much like the Asus Eee PC 1002HA. But while the Asus Netbook pack an Intel Atom processor, the F88 has a 1.6 GHz VIA Nano CPU with VX855 chipset. It also has an HDMI output for the pumping of HD video on a perpetual display.

The Netbook also VIA S3 Chrome 9 Figure. The F88 seems to be an ODM-machine, which will probably be repackaged with a different name. It supports from 1 GB and 4 GB of RAM, and with a boat between 60 GB hard drive and 500 GB. The standard configuration includes 802.11b g n WiFi, a 1.3MP webcam and optional Bluetooth and 3G modules. TV tuner, and higher resolution camera options are also available.

Asus U50VG, K50AB, K50IJ and K70AB notebooks arrive

ASUS have announced a series of new notebooks, including Intel and AMD-powered machines with screen sizes of 15.6-and 17.3-inches. Among the new models that are perhaps interesting is the U50VG-XX060C, a 15-6-inch Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 2.1GHz computer with 4 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 105 g 512 MB graphics.

The U50VG has a 250 GB hard drive, 16:9 display with 1366 x 768, and an HDMI port, along with a 1.3-megapixel webcam and WLAN b g n. The Chiclete keyboard with backlight is .

Meanwhile, also the 15.6-inch-K50 series, a few new models in the form of AMD Turion 64X2 Ultra ZM-84 2.3GHz K50AB and Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 2GHz K50IJ. Both have 4 GB of RAM, while the former has ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 512MB graphics and uses Intel GMA X4500HD graphics with shared memory.

The last new 15.6-inch model is the ASUS F52Q-SX071E, another Pentium dual-core machine (the 2 GHz T3200), this time with 2 GB of RAM and GL40 chipset. As a business model, it comes with Windows Vista, but can be downgraded to Windows XP.

Finally, two ASUS 17.3-inch models in the form of AMD-powered K70AB-TY002C and K70AB-TY001C. The former uses an AMD Turion 64X2 RM-74 2.2GHz processor, while the latter steps up to an AMD Turion 64X2 Ultra ZM-84 runs at 2.3GHz, both machines with 4GB of DDR2 RAM and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 with 512 MB Memory Drive a 1600 x 900 display with LED backlighting.
