Lenovo’s Two New Notebooks, One Netbook

The folks at Lenovo have started the Memorial Day holiday with the release of some new notebooks and a new Netbook. We had the opportunity to talk with them about these products, and they will certainly round out Lenovo’s consumer offerings. The new Netbook pushes the boundaries of the Netbook-definition with the 12-inch screen. Lenovo will continue to offer the S10 Netbook, but it is adding the larger S12 appeal to those who want a Netbook, but not the smaller screens found on most models. The S12 has typical Netbook components with an Atom processor, but it is a $ 50-option to ION NVIDIA graphics, full HD video playback. It also has an ExpressCard slot for those who need one for a 3G modem. The S12 will be held in June.
The two notebooks announced today are the IdeaPad U350 and the G550, the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch screens, respectively. The U350 has a number of processor options, allowing consumers to configure to their specific needs. There are options for Core2Solo and ULV Pentium processors that can be installed. The G550 with the larger screen is for entertainment enthusiasts looking for a multimedia notebook at a low price. The U350 comes in July, and the G550 is in June.
