HP Elitebook 8730w Mobile Workstation

Because of its high color display HP has opted for their Dream 8730w Color mark treatment, but this should not be confused with the kind of performance which LP2480zx amazing. Nevertheless, such as notebooks go to the Adobe RGB-compatible display is about as good as it is, there is little cause for complaint. From things from the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600, which at a brisk 2.8 GHz, has 6 MB of L2 cache. Outside the Intel Extreme series of processors, there is no faster mobile CPU.
This abundance of power is supported by 4 GB of DDR2 RAM, although this is a single module, it is not in dual channel mode. An odd move, one might think, before you know it means you can upgrade to 8GB, whenever you want without the installed memory. For storage there is a 320 GB hard drive, also known as a bit stingy if it were not for the fact it is a 7200 rpm drive that contains the free-fall protection. Graphic processing, meanwhile, is supported by a nVidia Quadro FX 2700m with 512 MB of its own memory, should grunt for many applications.
Because it is a high-end business machine, the usual number of security measures apply. This is a Trusted Platform Module for security and encryption, in order both a smart card reader and fingerprint authentication. This is also a certified vPro system, it is beautiful with a corporate network using the Intel management protocols. Network Connectivity, meanwhile, is comprehensive. There are the fast Gigabit Ethernet ports, in addition to the Draft-N Wi-Fi for faster and wider wireless and Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR for seamless connectivity to mobile devices.
There are four USB ports in total, one on the left side, three on the right side, and these are covered by an eSATA port, mini-FireWire, a 54mm ExpressCard slot, Ethernet port, modem port, a smart Card slot, headphone and microphone jacks, and a multi-card reader. Only video connectivity can be very criticized, because we want to see DVI or DisplayPort-accession of the HDMI and VGA offered here. Given the size of the machine, it seems hardly rhyme nor reason for this exclusion – in particular, DVI – which is probably better suited for connection to external monitors.
