Medion S1211 ‘Hello Kitty’ Netbook

Medion

Medion is the latest manufacturer to another device to the ever-growing Netbook market with the release of their mini-S1211 laptop. With a design with the Japanese cartoon character Hello Kitty, it is a popular choice with children of all ages.

Available in a choice of white or black, the case weighs 1.2 kilograms, with a design and dimensions to most existing Netbook on the market. Powered by Windows XP Home Edition software, there is currently no option to create a Linux-based operating system.

Components are standard Netbook fare, with a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N70 processor, 1024MB of DDR2 memory and an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card. A large 160GB hard drive and a 3-in-1 flash memory card storage also impressive.

Unusually for a Netbook, High-Speed 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity is. Equally unusual is the comprehensive software package, the Corel WordPerfect Office X3 and Bull Guard Internet Security. CyberLink PowerDVD is also, although Medion has no integrated optical drive.
