MSI Wind U120 with light-up trackpad

You have probably caught wind (Corny and probably exaggerated, I know) of the latest MSI U120 Netbook, but you may not have seen a prototype at CES with a glowing trackpad. I’m not quite sure who that is should be, but we can at least be happy to know that, as far as I can tell, this is not really part of the U120 yet. I have always hated unnecessary LEDs on notebooks, and the light-up trackpad, which is just one step too far.
If they go to something light, why not a keyboard with backlighting? On a regular laptop, the screen is often large enough to light the need for input in low-light situations. I have not found to be true in my experience Netbook. Unless you are prone to light up the screen on the keyboard (to put it on an unrealistic point of view), it is often not enough light on the keys. A backlit keyboard on a Netbook might actually have some use.
